"The Spark" refashions the GEL-KAYANO 12.1 with an open diamond knit mesh upper overlaid with flint-like metallic silver and cream premium pebbled leather panels. The formstripes are transformed with black hairy suede on the lateral side, and cream premium suede on the medial.

Red accents on the GEL midsole and ASICS heel logo nod toward a flame and spark, while the red-dipped lace tips represent match heads.
